Thank my lucky stars I took notes

    It seemed a bit of a chore last season, noting down what I sowed when and how, when I planted out or harvested etc etc. But in essence it took no more than five minutes a day to complete

    But it does mean I can look back and adjust for this season, correct errors and move forward positively, this information is invaluable at this stage of the year and no doubt moving forward too.

        These days I tend to pull out the camera that I always keep in my pocket and take a pic.

          I have an Excel sheet planting plan, where I note planting time / temp germination rate etc etc. It's very useful as a record ,but mainly so I dont forget to plant anything :thumbsup:
          Going to take more pics as well this year - they are really useful , and great to look back at in January !

            I keep a seed planting/germination record every year too, it's ever so useful as I can see what did well and what didn't. I also take photos as I can never remember where exactly things were last year :)

              I scribbled everything down last year but i've now copied it into my new gardeners journal book i got as a christmas presant:yess:it's thanks to all you GC gardeners that i have even more enthusiasum:dbgrtmb:.....if only i'd started doing it a few years back it makes interesting reading....

              I do similar but by using an Acess database. I hate working with spreadsheets and find using the forms in Acess easier for adding the sowing/planting details.
