    Evening/Morning all.

While looking for something else, I've stumbled across two containers of seed that my neighbour gave me a few years ago while I was still in Sheffield.

    They are Marigolds, and Honesty.

They must be easily 4 maybe 5 year old. Is it worth giving them propagator space?

Put some damp (almost wet) kitchen paper in a small container (e.g. a ramaken) with a few seeds, cover with cling film. If they germinate pot them up (if you want to) and sow some more conventionally. If they don't maybe add some more to the damp kitchen paper to see if any grow, if not throw them away.

Not sure what type they are, but I remember them growing in my neighbour's garden, and they were what I think of as the classic English type. About a foot tall with bold orange flowers. Nowt fancy, singles or semi-double, plain orange. The kind I used to see everywhere when I was little but much less so these days.
