    Is there such a thing as a dwarf lilac please that can be grown in a pot?

    Sheal, this is the first time I've been able to reply with pukka information. Yes, there is : Syringia Microphylla "Superba".J K Parkers.co.uk is showing a nice specimen if you Google it. I have one, see piccies below. It is only 3 years old this year and it's flowering for the first time. I have just taken this piccie of it.
    There are others I think and the GC gurus will tell you more I expect, Gosh I feel rather chuffed that I v'e actually got there at last:yahoo:

      I have a dwarf Lilac in a planter (unnamed variety purchased from B&Q two years ago but I think it's a dwarf Korean lilac Syringa meyeri Palibin).

      Just taken the above as it's currently flowering.

      NB : Although it says 'dwarf' it actually grows to about 5 ft tall and wide.

          Why do you go and spoil everything? It was a nice, pleasant little thread and then you trash through it with hob-nailed boots on !!!

                Thats looks like the one i bought 2 months back merle n sheal .....Miss kim dwarf lilac but ive put mine in the garden cos like u said they can get to 5ft but are called dwarf :)
