That would be wonderful, Moyra. :dbgrtmb:

I've been out and started on clearing the privet cuttings but then came in, woke up Mrs Shiney, and had breakfast - porridge.

Got to now arrange to have our cess pit emptied - pooh, what a smell when they do that!!!

    Have a great day

Oh Charming Shioney, fancy mentioning that in the same breath as breakfast. :cry3:

Yes, the only problem is that she does do a lot with her family on a weekend so she may not be able to make it but maybe the other one will. Will have to wait and see or I shall have to be brave and do it on my own.:paladin::heehee:

    Good morning campers:snork:

Just thought i would spare a little of my holiday time to let you know that we arrived safely and have had a good week down here in sunny Somerset  It rained on and off all day on Wednesday so we drove down to Lynton and Lynmouth and had a mooch round the shops before having a nice meal in the Riverside cafe which went down very well:snork:

As it rained on and off on Thursday we went to Dunster Castle but the little bit of rain we did have was six spots as we did the gardens and a few showers while we were inside but apart from that we also had a good walk round the shops of Dunster:biggrin:

    Had a nice fish and chip supper last night and it was one of the best pieces of fish we have had in ages.We met up with my sister and her hubby last Monday and spent the day with them.She thought it was Mr Kandys birthday that day but is birthday was actually a day earlier on the Sunday{Senior moment:snork:}

We have walked quiet a bit this week and have seen loads of birds and the highlight was a Dartford Warbler and a Cuckoo up on the moors yesterday. We have even seen some Exmoor pony foals so spent loads of time getting photos of them.:hapydancsmil:

As it is hot today i have got my shorts on and we are off soon for another nice walk and then will be heading back home tomorrow:eeew:

Hope you are all keeping well and that you have had a good week:cool:

It's good to hear you're having a great time. The last time I was at Lynmouth it was rather wet - during the floods of 1952 :rolleyespink:

That's a nice thought - lovely fish and chips :dbgrtmb:

      Happy birthday Mr K. :ccheers:

Loli, you've got a lovely, peaceful garden :dbgrtmb:

We got a lot done in the garden yesterday but my back is playing up today. Maybe it'll ease up if I get myself moving

We may go to Hatfield House to the Living Crafts show today

What a lovely little spot Loli. I'd make myself late for work if I was tempted out there.

Morning Everyone, Shiney you take care of that back of yours, you have been overdoing things again!:nonofinger:

Loli, how lovely ours looks nice but if you could hear the noise of the starlings fighting over a block of meal worm in fat!! They are screaming out there. They demolish one of those blocks in minutes so I tried hiding one in the not so much used bird house which the tits use but the starlings have discovered it and because they can not get round it like they could in the lilac tree hence all the squabbling! :dunno:

If Kandy has lovely weather like we have here then she should be having a lovely holiday but I think she was talking of returning home today. It has been a glorious weekend here. Not being greedy (Not much!) or anything but please can we have some more sunshine I like this. :dancy:

Have a great day everyone. :)

Oooh, still sunny but the little "scout" cloudlets are starting to peep over the western horizon:sad:. Still, it was lovely at 7am and still is. They're all out of the mini GH facing the breeze. The amount of growth that the camellias have put on in the last 3 weeks maybe 9 inches. Have a good Sunday and bon appetit for the roast a bit later on,:dancy:

              Good morning everyone,

Yesterday was good. The Living Crafts show was good and then late afternoon and in the evening I got a load more done in the garden. Cut 30ft of Leylandii (the neighbour's ), shaped and cut about 100ft of lawn (the barrow loads of soil and grass go on the compost heep to be recycled in a couple of years ) and did a few odd jobs around the garden.

I wanted to continue with the lawn edges today but it's drizzling. I may go out there with my waterproof on - on the ther hand, I might just stay in the warm and do some paperwork :heehee:.

I may pop out and do some shopping this morning but have to be in this afternoon as the Blind Woman is coming.

              Have a great day

Morning Everyone, Pleased to say I got up to a lovely morning again and took Amber out for her walk at 7am while the sun was shining. It is beginning to cloud over now so I suppose the rain will not be far behind but its not here yet.

Shiney, I see you are still overdoing it but I guess if you want everything to be done and perfect for your open day you do not have a lot of time left..........although you can not stop everything growing and it is growing like mad. Do take things steady though.

Waves to Lolli, Kandy, Woo, Penny and Jenny. Take care everyone.:)

Good morning Loli and everyone and hope you are all well:smile:
Many thanks for the birthday wishes for Mr Kandy and he appreciates them:ThankYou:

We spent the last full day of our holiday tramping all over the Quantocks but as Mr Kandy hadn't got an OS map we are not sure how far we walked but reckon we did a good six miles so that made around thirty miles walking for the week which isn't bad as we had a couple of days where we were visiting my sister and dodgy weather that we couldn't get a good one in :snork:

Since we got home on Sunday afternoon i haven't stopped what with washing ironing etc but at least i have got a good deal of it done although my airing cupboard is full to bursting.I shall need a nother holiday after all this:biggrin:

My sister had her bunion op done finally yesterday after the hospital cancelled it so i expect she is in a lot of pain at the moment but at least in three months time she will be able to go and stock up with new fitting shoes:snork:

I do hope that Woo is ok as i emailed him on May 3rd and have not heard back from him so i expect he has either found another forum to visit or he is enjoying his garden etc:snork:

My home sown runner beans and sweet corn are now poking through the compost so Mr Kandy is going to have to get his finger out and get those canes up,oh and we had to replace our lawn mower yesterday as our other one packed up before the holiday so that was another expence we could have done without,oh well:snork:

Anyway,i had better carry on with the irioning then have the van to clean out ready for it's service next month.

                Have a good day everyone:smile:
