Here is my Number 1 favourite seedling of last year - Amethyst Reflections x Unk:
    Amethyst Reflections x Unk.JPG
With 3 flowers on 2 scapes, it makes quite a show.
On the new ones, this opened today:
    Country Pride x Small Gesture.JPG
This is Country Pride x Small Gesture. It is only 3.5" across, but the bud count is 30! It is a bit of a disappointment since both parents are doubles. Maybe it will rebloom with double flowers and get become a keeper.

Did you know you can eat daylily flowers? They look fabulous in a salad and what's more, are good for you.
They contain lutein/zeaxanthin which can help or prevent macular degeneration and may help prevent blindness and malnutrition, see www.cookforgood.com/blog/2012/6/18/eating-daylilies.html
(Sorry, I'm an eater, never been one for the looks!)

My top 3 would be Free Wheelin" ( a 9" spider), Inner View, and Spacecoast Sea Shells (I've already had flowers on the last 2).
For a diploid type, Moose Man.

Was just going to say Freewheelin Wylie and Inner View is one of my all time favourites :)
I know you can eat them Annemeike but must admit I've never tried them, can't bring myself to pick them :) although that is my excuse for growing them on the allotment

If you get any ugly seedlings, you can always invite Annemeike around for brunch:stirpot:

Today, Sybil's Blues x Water Drops opened:
                    Sybil's Blues x Water Drops.JPG
Not only are the petals curled, but they show signs of gaposis - a term I hadn't heard used in describing daylilies until I saw it used by Dan Hansen for one of his. But it means that the petals don't touch (at least when used for daylilies).
