I think if they get into flower, and then the Spring is chilly, they last for ages ... whereas here, this year, it has been so cold that they haven't come into flower; now that they have the weather will be warm so that they will be over in short order, sadly.

Don't mow them until the leaves have properly gone yellow and died down, give them the best chance of bulking up the bulbs. And feed them Potash as Armandii said (Tomato fertiliser will do if you have some spare). I'll be surprised if they stay blind in future years.

A lovely view Redstar but do you find all those trees stop the sunshine from getting through?

just a thought but can you move daffs whilst still "in the green" like you do snowdrops or would it be detrimental to them?

Yes you may move while in green, make sure you plant the same depth from which they came. But may not flower this year.

At long last we too have eventually got Daffodils out.I think I've either gone bonkers or it's SO long since I last saw them flowering but I'm not unconvinced some have changed colour! There is a batch which line a path and I was pretty certain they were creamy coloured with orange throats, now bog standard yellow. Oh well not complaining as delighted to at least get an indication that we are seeing the back of a very long winter.

Just scoured photos of the garden near to the Daffodils I think have changed colour, just miss the area every flaming time so can't tell for certain if they are different to last year or not. Oh well no that vital, good idea Kristen altho not fruitful on this occasion, thanks.
