We often see the wonderful views from Armandii's garden on his walk throughs but I often think my garden is sometimes best seen from above, so here's how its looking today :)

        Looks great :blue thumb:

I'm not allowed a vegetable area - yet; the more I manage to get from garden to plate, the more I think I will be able to be allowed to grow.

Lovely pictures Bilbo, doesn't it look green? I'd have problems taking pictures like this as I'd have to climb onto the roof of my bungalow. :)

            Looking good Bilbo. :dbgrtmb:
It's true our gardens do look different when viewed from this angle, it gives a good overall perspective.
I think you've started something here, we could make this the 'my garden from the upstairs window thread'.
I'll see if I can get a couple of photos of my garden from 'above' tomorrow and post them here.

A couple of quick shots taken from my upstairs window this evening.
We'd just had a heavy shower, so everything was a bit wet and the light wasn't great, but it still gives you an idea of what my patch looks like.

I love your garden Trunky; its looks very long and invites you to explore past the arch :dbgrtmb:

There could definitely be life in a thread viewing members gardens from above, very interesting :blue thumb:

Bilbo, I love how you have created zones so that each zone has a specific purpose :blue thumb:

Trunky, you've achieved 'zones' too, but in a totally different way (that bench looks so inviting!) What tree is the 'yellow' looking one on the left before your arch, please?

What you see on the photos is only about half the back garden, through the arch lies a further plot, which is roughly a 20 yard square and about twice the width of the part you can see.
This part contains the vegetable plots, a mini wildflower meadow and the chicken run.
The arch itself supports a climbing rose, 'Paul's Scarlet' which draws the eye nicely when in full flower.
It's Acer Drumondii Mum, a lovely variegated maple which is at its best in spring, when the new leaves look fresh.
