    Aloha everyone,

Feeling a bit better today :blue thumb:. I got fed up sitting around after I got back from my walk so did another couple of hours of pressure hosing. Paving is beginning to look a lot cleaner.

Tree surgeons are coming in today to reduce the conifers. They'll be taking these down to the level of the hedge alongside - just below the top of the greenhouse. As the neighbour and I couldn't work out who the trees belonged to, we're splitting the cost.

All the work will have to be done from his side, which should be easy as it's his driveway. This photo was taken a couple of years ago and the trees are quite a bit bigger now.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

        Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is Ok this morning:dbgrtmb:

Shiney, you little tinker...i knew you wouldn't be able to keep still for long:biggrin:....
It's handy the tree surgeons are working from the other side,it saves them trampling on your garden:dbgrtmb:

Nice to see you Ziggy, take care with your back:blue thumb:...the mere mention of ladders and i feel cramp coming on:rolleyespink:...

I've been backwards and forwards checking Poppy chook this morning and she's up and about waddling around albeit slowly which is an improvement on yesterday, she's still holding her own so i'm keeping a close watch on her :blue thumb:

Here it's said to reach 17 degrees today:hate-shocked:....it's not looking hopeful so far so we'll have to wait and see...

Going to pick up Mum and Dad and do them some lunch, then i'll be pottering in the garden while they're glued to the TV keeping an eye on the Budget:old::biggrin:

Have a great day , take it easy everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

          Morning all

Glad you're on the mend Shiney, guess taking it easy doesn't happen for you. Thank you for your kind offer. I'm not sure I'll be able to get up your way before the open day but it was lovely to be asked.

Hope your back is less painful soon Zigs, not fun at all having to go up and down ladders in pain.

Good news re Penny. Hope she continues to improve.

Was up early re-arranging a room ready for a builder who was supposed to come around 8. He phoned at 9.30 to say he had an emergency and couldn't come. Oh well, at least he bothered to phone I suppose. Room now back as it was.

Hope everyone has a great day and all the aches and pains fade away.

                Morning everyone,

Shiney take it easy today you seem to have a lot on.

Loli, do I gather from Shiney's posting that your poor Poppy lost the battle, I am so sorry if that is so.

Have a good day all, take care, God bless.

                  Good morning everyone,

I hope everyone is on form :dbgrtmb:.....

I'm a bit lost without my little follower but Poppys sisters will keep me out of mischief:)...I've buried Poppy near the bird table as when she was not following me everywhere that was her favourite place, collecting all the seed that was scattered by the Stoggies....i always place a paver on the top as a marker...at this rate my garden will be like one big patio:heehee:....

Shiney...so much for taking it easy:biggrin:...that's a good job done and your front hedge looks cut to perfection:love30:...any chance of a hair cut when i come to Shineyland?....

Baking ,seed sowing and pricking out today and if it should rain I might just flick a duster round...maybe:biggrin:....

Have a great day everyone and take care:SUNsmile:

                          Good morning early people :)

Nice to see we have the forum back after the tech glitch last night. Not quite fixed properly yet, but we're working on it.

I've got a headache, had to do some work in a house where they were smoking something illegal yesterday, my mate and I both got affected by it  Much giggling on the way home, couldn't help it

                          Go steady everyone :)

                              Aloha everyone,
HRG, I hope hrg is not too bad. It's pretty cold here this morning with the temperature around 37F (3C).

We did a lot of clearing up where the tree surgeons had done the conifers. Seven wheel barrows full and not quite finished. There's a big gap where the euonymous is and we'll have to grow some more euonymous there as the conifer won't grow back.

Sarafi was his usual nosey, fearless self yesterday. I'd warned the tree surgeons about him last time they were in. This time, one of them was up the conifers using a chain saw to hack off large branches and throwing them down on the ground. The other one was feeding them into the giant, very noisy, chipper.

Sarafi came marching down the garden to the chipper and had a good look whilst it was grinding away. Then he strolled over to the trees and looked up at the man using the chain saw and he screeched very loudly at him! Not a miaow, but a very loud howl. When the man looked down at him he then walked straight through the conifers and went on his way.

If it's not too windy today I may pressure hose the patio and path where the men had been working. I hadn't bothered doing it before because I knew it would be messed up.

Keep well and have a great day #

                              Aloha!
