    Aloha everyone,

Loli, I don't know whether the Nagas will come true but it's worth a try.

You only need another six and you can have a pie. :heehee:

I spent a long time yesterday removing all the plants from the ShineyFrame, stuffing them in wheelie bins (they had rust ), removing all the string (cat's cradle style) across the top, pulling the canes out of the ground (quite difficult) and stacking them. That was about half the beans as the others are grown in other formats and I've still got those to do (no wheelie bins left).

I hope to build another ShineyFrame this winter and cover that area of plot with the porous membrane. That should save a lot of weeding and also allow for wetter bean growing. I'm thinking of making a sweet pea frame as well.

Wheelie bins was a sore point yesterday. They collect them early in the morning but had only emptied one green bin and then left a sticker on the other saying they couldn't take that as we're only allowed one bin. I have special permission to have a second bin (all the rubbish lorries have a list of the houses with special permission) but they had ignored it.

They'd collected at 7 a.m. and I hadn't gone out to the road to collect them until 10 a.m. To say that I was a little annoyed would be an understatement as I had planned to fill them both that morning. Fortunately I have the direct line number to the head of waste collection. So I phoned her ( she come to our Open Day and had given permission for two wheelie bins because she knows that our garden needs them) and she got annoyed too.

Her reason for being annoyed is that she now doesn't know how many times their special allowances are being ignored. This never happened when they handled all waste collection themselves. The contractors came back at 10.45 to collect my other bin! :blue thumb: They didn't look too happy about it :heehee:

One part of my foot has started up again  but I hope it's a minor hiccup.

This morning we have to take some of Mrs Shiney's glassware to an art exhibition and sale in a town about 20 miles away.

Keep well and have a great day

    Aloha!

      Good morning everyone,

Not all that bright out there this morning and it is quite breezy too.

Shiney, glad you got your second bin emptied. Sorry to hear your foot is breaking out again. Hope Mrs S has success with her glass.

Loli, I expect I shall get a call from my Docs saying go in for your flu jab. Not with these sinuses I shall not.

WOO, hope your bounce is returning ok.

Have a good day everyone and stay safe, God bless. :wub2:

        Afternoon all :)

Yet another busy day here - never seems to be enough hours in the day at the moment, and I really must get my head down later on and get some code written!

Weather is dry with sunny spells here - not unpleasant to be fair, just occasionally overcast.

Hope you are all fighting fit and enjoying your day

                    Aloha everyone,

Lovely photo, Woo :) No sun here so I reckon you hogging it all down there :heehee: but it's fairly mild at 55F (13C) and I expect it to be a lovely day.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to enjoy the sun as I'm playing in a big bridge tournament from late morning until tonight. It'll be a bit of practice as it's coming into the competition and tournament season. In only a month's time we have the big, national, 3 day tournament in Birmingham :hate-shocked:

Keep well and have a great day

                    Aloha!

                        Morning all

Quite mild and humid here, feels like it might rain.

Not sure what to tackle today, so many different things need doing.

Hope you enjoy your bridge tournament Shiney, at least it will mean your foot will get a bit of rest

Have a fun weekend with the family Zigs. Let the wine flow freely.

Hope everyone has a great day
