By jove I think we're all getting there....

I'd forgotten how mundane painting was sooner be turning my compost,but needs must, got lots of family coming over to stay for MIL funeral next week so need to straighten the place up after the builders.MIL had a way of cracking the whip and she's still doing it now...

All the chooks are as happy as larry and settled in well My new best pal Rose is scarily clever,I only have to go out and shout her name and she comes running and follows me everywhere,the other chooks just look up and then carry on pottering.

It was a damp day yesterday and dull but looks to be brightening up a bit this morning

Loli, glad Rose, has become your new best friend. She soon fitted in. The names of the new hens are they ones you gave them or is it what they were previously known as. Because if it is the former she sure has picked her new name up quick!

 

Good morning all, by jove it is a cold one out there, not even Amber wanted to hang around this morning it was too cold on her paws. She did what was necessary and then scurried back. Filled the birds containers up. Wish they wouldn't put so much seed on the ground. I know the pigeons appreciate it but it does get expensive.

Not quite so cold and frosty here this morning but no sun yet

I know what you mean about GC being slow Owl. I gave up last night as it was taking ages to open any threads. Not quite as bad this morning

Pleased to hear the chooks are all settling in Loli. I think they've realised they're onto a good thing living with you

Woo...GC is as slow as me too this morning...

Mora...I named the new chooks ,I try to name them all after plants and flowers,there's plenty of names to go at then...I think Rose has become so extra friendly because even though I've only had them for just over a week I've spent hours with her in particular ,constantly following her around trying to fathom whether she was a 'Rose' or a Roger'...thankfully she's definitely a 'Rose' but now she's following me around...

The decorating is going without a hitch so far no calamities apart from Theo getting a light coat of 'Ivory lace' emulsion but we can expect that from Theo can't we...

Got some nice blue sky and sunshine this morning though I'm sure I saw on yesterdays forecast there was going to be plenty of rain around...

Frozen down here, had to put the cactus in the fridge overnight to keep the frost off it.
