    the pot they are in is huge like 12 inch pot , so they could stay in that pot as long as I feed ?

          This batch have just come out of dormancy. They were still in the original pot and compost so I potted them on today..................

          The largest bulb was 25mm or so in diameter. I stopped watering them mid October last year to force their first winter dormancy so I'm happy to see them back in growth.

              LongK - I love these threads that inspire. I recently bought some E. pole-evansii bulbs and would love to try with them.

              In a recent talk by a Eucomis national plant collection holder, he said he had seen some pole-evansii at a show that had to be bought in by fork lift truck, as they reached the ceiling!

              I've gone the other way and recently received some Eucomis vandermerwei bulbs which only grows to about 15cm!
