Escallonia 'Iveyi'

Hi - I am just about to plant 2 small Escallonia 'Iveyi' that are in 3 ltr pots. I am just wondering how far apart these should be planted, ie, how big will they eventually grow to? Also I was planning on using them to screen off the top of the fence area (fence is 6ft - I need another foot or so?) - will they reach those kind of heights and how quickly?

They have a spread of roughly 3x3 meter's so if you plant them at say 1 - 1.5m apart that should be ok =]

Do you know how quickly they grow ... ie, how long before they are over 6ft?
