Grass burning

Hi,

I need to burn a large pattern/shape into a large grass field.

What could i use to do this?

Would weed killer work and how long would it take to take effect?

Weed killer such as Weedol would take two or three days to burn off top growth. A flame gun would have the same effect.

 

I have seen creosote used to burn off grass and to make a grass maze. Not sure if it works with the new substitutes

 

yes, Weedkiller would do the job.
I see a weedkiller called Resolva which says it works in 24hours if you're in a hurry.

Another method would be to mark out the shape of your pattern with rope or something similar then mark the pattern with sand.
