    I've been waiting for a story to emerge in the local paper but nothing yet. Last Thursday a resident, about 2 miles from here, saw a box in the middle of the road. She thought it could cause an accident so went to move it.

    When she opened it the box contained a WWII machine gun! Armed response police turned up, lots of police cars etc. and took the gun into custody.

    Not heard anything since. :noidea:

      Well, if you remember there were stories about some of the Japanese Army still in the Jungle until 1974.:dunno: Could it be that some of the Home Guard are still waiting in the local woods for the WWII to end?:heehee:

        Quite possible - but I think they will be coming out against a new runway at Stansted and the new junction on the M11. That's flaring up again. :dunno:
