    Lovely Woo. Funny, Cistus grows wild here but the purple one only grows in my area ... must be the soil???

          The variegated ceanothus has been waiting for the end of the drought so that we can plant it

          The first Iris sibirica to flower and we shall soone have a few hundred of them. They have spread quite fast and we dug up a lot last year and gave them to visitors to our open garden. GC members were offered them first but I don't know how many took them.

          I've been showing these sweetpeas gradually flowering since March. They are the normal annual ones that we forgot to cut down, so the plants are 6ft high. Since they started flowering the flowers have been white but they are now getting a lovely purple tinge to them.

          The first of the Dahlias is sprouting. They have been left in situ for about four years

          We don't grow broad beans but this has popped up in the garden and is almost 4ft high. It is about 100ft from the field at the back where they grew broad beans three years ago! :scratch:

            I've spent a lifetime thinking I've got to get a cistus x purpurea. One day, at a car boot, I saw cistus alan fradd, two litre plant 3 quid. What made me buy it was not the fact it was cheap, it was and so am I, it's just part had reverted back to purpurea!
            Today the first flower of the year opened.....it's.....alan fradd:cry3:
            I really must get round to taking cuttings so there is no anticipation
