        Good day and Happy Birthday @moyra !

        The sun is rising and is unimpeded by clouds however it is 12f so a bit chilly.

        Sam's body came out in full battle, switched to healing and she is improving rapidly. She may even be able to come home today. :fingers crossed:

        I shall be making a new top for Sam today. I was going to do it yesterday but decided that my son needed a good laptop bag more urgently. Made one in leather (faux) with adjustable shoulder strap, pocket in the flap for the power cord and fully lined with cotton that has beavers all over it. :)

          Thanks for your Birthday wishes. I have had a lovely day so far. Flowers and lottery tickets from Steve and an offer to pay for a take away of my choice tonight. Quite a few cards from friends, one enclosing money, naughty girl. Which was nice but I sent her flowers today because she is not at all well and she is a lovely friend.

                I went to Tesco this morning when they opened at 6 a.m. and there were nine people in the queue behind me as we waited for the doors to open. The busiest I've seen it. I was out of there by 6.15 :blue thumb:

                The sun is coming up and I expect to get a lot done in the garden.

                      I didn't get to pick up Sam yesterday but am certain that today will be the day :)

                      It is cloudy, been snowing and the temperature is dropping like a rock as I sit here with my first cuppa.

                      And I have placed all the recycle bins and rubbish out to the kerb for today's pick up. Good to clesn out the garage. :)

                          @CanadianLori it seems to be good news with Sam :hapydancsmil:

                          Yesterday was a glorious day and Lewis was round to do a lot of heavier work. Finished pruning the fruit trees and then worked in the front garden and hedgecut lots of shrubs that seemed to have gone mad recently and clearing a lot of the mess all around. The bonfire is a lot higher and he took away four ton backs of weeds and dead stuff.

                          I did some work out there and filled the black bin again with more of the plastic pots and trays. One more load to go. :phew:

                          I then walked to the village and back - a couple of miles - and the warm sun had brought the locals out, even if it was just to sit in their front gardens and chat to passers by.

                          I had my first proper chat to our new neighbour since they moved in a couple of months ago. He was walking with his little girl and pushing the push chair in case she wanted it. They walked on the footpath and I walked along the front verges of people's gardens :).

                          In the village I chatted to a couple who were sitting on the seats of their strollers in their front garden. Haven't seen them for a year. I passed about a dozen or so people, I stepped into the road each time, and had brief chats with some of them or just 'hellos' with others. Almost all were wearing masks although we were in the open and distanced. It has always been the done thing in the village to say hello, or smile and nod, to everyone you pass even if you don't know them. :blue thumb:

                          I thought ten was a crowd :rolleyespink:

                            How's everyone today? :)

                            Apart from the lunchtime shower yesterday we had a lovely day here, and today looks even more promising( no rain at all). :yahoo: Later tonight we come under a 5 day weather warning for snow, but I think it will be a bit hit and miss.
                            Well just finished another load of laundry, just need the mist to lift a bit more so that I can find the washing line!!!:heehee:
