    Cassie and All, some episodes are on Dailymotion. There is also a complete playlist of 'The Victorian Flower Garden' on YouTube, but I'm not sure the episodes are in the correct order. Unfortunately we can't post playlists on the forum as the software just embeds a single video, but it shouldn't be hard to find. :)

        Nothing today but tomorrow might be alright, but it's back to rain showers for the week, never happy with the weather.

          Will go and check greenhouses in a bit, after lunch will take mug of tea up there and plant up some Nerine bulbs I bought yesterday.

            @Upsydaisy
            Yes, he did, I think, the series from a Shed and had such a knowledge of things and explaining them in such a gentle way. We have lost a lot of knowledge and good presenters over the years which, for me, buying the DVDs carries on the work they did as well as stirring pleasant memories.

              Thank you @Nikolaos ! I will check it out.

              Today was a lovely sunny day.

              Got a little bit of pruning and weeding done - including a bunch of mallow that had sprung up in the poorly corner of our lawn :mad:

              Then I pulled out some lettuces that had bolted and warrigal greens that were taking over, gave the bed a good workover and sowed beetroot, carrot, parsnip and radish seeds.

              We have a week of 30c temps coming up so I will have my work cut out for me keeping that lot moist - but I just know if I don't do it now I will forget entirely and spend most of autumn hankering for some homegrown beetroot.

              Also placed a seed order for a few things I am missing. Each year I try to do the ONE order for winter and summer but it seems there is always something I have forgotten so I am sure I will be doing another one before long :dunno:

                  Goodness, Tinkerbelle. I can only dream of such a temperature today. Mind you, it's a heady 3C here at the moment, should I put on my bikini and potter around in the garden?
                  My little pond is still half frozen over, so an iceskating outfit may be more appropriate (now I've given you the horrors... and it's Sunday an' all).

                      Not a lot as it's still bitter out there. Went outside and swore, bitterly, but pegged out roughly where I'll build the shed. A simple 2.2 x 2.2m one. It's in the wrong place viewing it from the house. swore again, bitterly...

                          @Snorky85 the allotment is looking incredible, amazing job! I like @rustyroots idea for covering the watertank - I've also had great success growing strawberries in pots from Wilkinson's that are designed to sit in brackets that hang off drainpipes. They were about £3 each and work brilliantly.

                          No jobs today but had a wander round to see how things have copes with the cold. A lot of my wallflowers are looking very dicey, but I'm more worried about my potato vine - I bought it on a visit to Hestercombe last year and it had been doing brilliantly until now :sad:

                            I planted some Yellow Geranium and Hibiscus rosa-sinensis seeds having discovered "something" ate my other babies down to the earth! :wallbanging: T'other Half stripped the dead leaves off the Musa Cavendish. We then sat and enjoyed the garden in 17c sunshine ... we sat in the shade, having a glass or two of Rose (not Mateus as Portuguese don't drink that. :heehee:

                            Wind has come up so now in to watch a movie!
