I need more ground cover for winter so was wondering if it's more cost effective to buy pansies from a mail order company or my local garden centre? Any recommendations of companies to get them from?

I'll have a look for you while I'm out then check my catalogue collection when I get back in and report to you :)

I would suggest using a garden centre for that ... you'll be able to see what you are getting.

Two local places sell them at 9 for £1.50 or 3 packs for £4
My carden centre sells tham at 12 for £2.50 and no offer
Than we have suttons then your into the miniplants.....130...£11.95
    easiplants.....20...£6.95....60....£9.95
    garden ready plants......30....£12.95

Although I think it's too late for the catalogue orders for this year.

I hope this helps, would have posted earlier but was fitting a fire surround :)

    Local places = 17p each
    Garden Centre = 21p each
Suttons (garden ready) = 43p each

Your local place wins. Though probably not local to me.... If I want some more then I'll pop down my garden centre(s)
