I would like to make sloe gin, trouble is that although I have vast quantities of Hawthorn trees in my locality, there would appear to be a complete lack of Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa )
I would like to plant a tree on my allotment but obviously I wouldn't want it taking too much space,so I was wondering if anyone has ever tried growing a Bonsai version :cnfs: or am I just being silly :hehe:

You should be able to get smallish plants from your local garden centre, though it would be a while before they started fruiting.:gnthb:

Surely you dont have to grow your own?

There must be some growing in the hedgerows not that far away.

Just take a trip into Kent.
