Back in the 1950's I used to be there to buy our veg (we didn't sell fruit) for our market stall. We used to arrive at 4.30 a.m. for a breakfast at the cafe, then order our supplies, load up the van with some of our purchases (the rest was delivered later) and then some of the barrow boys used to pop into to The Gun for a quick pint before going off to our markets to set up our stalls for a 7 a.m. start.

If I remember correctly, The Gun opened at 5 a.m.

My mum used to go to the girls' school (Central Foundation) in Spital Square :blue thumb:

      Veggies and fruit :)

I would start one myself but not being very tech savvy I've yet to learn how to link up with previous threads.
