Tomorrow going to start taking down the Christmas decorations. I enjoy this as much as putting them up because i can start with growing seeds.

Went for a walk this morning ( 4miles) it was so lovely and sunny....complete opposite to the wet afternoon!!

Gathered up all the Christmas cards, no decorations this year  as we were away.

Started selecting the seeds for this year , but I am determined ( say this every year :heehee:) not to sow any until March.:fingers crossed::whistle:

Did a pile of ironing, a job I quite like especially on a wet afternoon.

Watched the New Years Day Concert From Vienna on iPlayer as we were out this morning and we never miss it. It's the only programme we make sure to watch over the holidays.

Very cold here, trying to snow. Working on boring house tasks, and gathering paperwork for Taxes in a couple months, I keep it decently organized all year. Running two businesses, gives up lots of documentations of accounts ect.

I used to use the Seville oranges but because they're only available at this time of year had to make it all at once, sometimes couldn't get any.

Just had a three mile brisk walk followed by a couple of small pastries and a hot chocolate but not sure whether it should have been done in reverse order.

Usually do the weekly shop at Morrisons and use one of their loyalty cards. Found ourselves doing the weekly shop in ASDA last week and lo and behold - we get a message in the Morrisons app saying - hey, spend a minimum of £40 a week with us for 3 weeks in January and we will give you 10,000 points - worth £10 off your shop.

Who doesn't spend £40 each week on food?

Thing is - was this offer the result of us nipping over to ASDA - did Morrisons sus out no spend in that particular week and so lobbed the offer our way?

Seems a bit of a coincidence - as we've just benefitted from a similar offer over Christmas.

I got the same offer, but I find it strange I get offers just a day or two after I've had a delivery, usually for crap I would never buy anyway.

These days they can keep an eye on what we buy but it was probably a coincidence that they sent that. We shop mainly at Sainsbury's and they have nectar points every week, the offers come up with what we've bought, which is good.

That's the thing - the new Morrisons loyalty scheme only gives points to shift stuff that is not selling well. The old scheme gave points for everything. It's still worth participating because we got £15 extra to spend on the Christmas shop. We don't change our shopping habits based upon the points - but over time they do build up.

Such a beautifully sunny day ( not moaning whatsoever :blue thumb:) that it showed up a few smears on some of our internal glass doors, so a cleaning session was undertaken this afternoon......ahhh much better now. :dbgrtmb: It's strange how your eye is always drawn to a negative isn't it.

Caramel Latte coming up as a reward. :coffee:
