Saw a discussion on FB where people are finding that slugs don't like artificial grass, not surprising really. Apart from being plastic the artificial grass heats up quite a bit. A few posters mentioned how they are using the grass to put in their greenhouses, and tunnels in order to keep the slugs at bay. Standing pots on the artificial grass does appear to deter slugs.

I don't have any artificial grass but might buy some off-cuts just to put the skids on some slugs, like in my 'plant nursery'.

Wonder if anyone who does have artificial grass has found it a slug deterrent?

That's interesting @Jenny_Aster, discerning slugs that don't like artificial grass :).

I imagine that heat would deter them, but they're mostly active at night when it's cooler.
YouTube has clips of slugs nonchalantly slithering over razor blades and I sometimes see them on the brickwork on my house.
It takes a lot to deter a determined slug!
