Thursday. Chilly overnight, the right temp to leave an extra gallon of milk outside, have to make room in fridge today for it. Easter Sunday not doing much, will get a Pork Shoulder roast to make something with it. I don't like ham.

Wow, @Ladybird4 , you caught a rat. We get field mice once in blue moon somehow get in the house. Only time I have ever seen a rat was when we went down to New Orleans, there they were on the wharf, they are truly sizeable, would really take a good cat or small dog to get those.

So did meet up with the lady, sold my little gem for 20 dollars. Yeah. We have over 90 items listed, have some interest in the car parts also, actually a check arrived to hold an item till he can come pick it up, all the way from Canada, he's suppose to go to a local car show, then stop over for the item, and he is also taking the gas tank--that one is free.

    Have a good day all.

We had a delicious lunch in our favourite pub restaurant. The helpings aren't huge but we were too full for pudding.

I've dug loads of compost into the rather sandy soil in the new little bed by the new short path and I've planted my new plants in it.

I'm not feeling very fond of cats at the moment as I had to clear up 4 splodgy cat poos in the garden today. We didn't have them until NDN died last year. Her cat looked on our garden as his space so he kept other cats away and didn't use it as a loo.

My boy certainly enjoyed his run - we were sent copious pics to prove it. Not heard a peep out of him since he got home,
He will be going twice next week, making do with lead walks and garden runs in the meantime.
I have single handedly potted on my toms and taken the decision to bin the weak ones. I usually offer the spares around the village, but it's too much for me this year. I have 12, of 4 varieties. The gardeners delight are very puny compared to the others and they've all had the same treatment.
G'kids are popping round tonight. She is 12 tomorrow, and is having a lava lamp for her new bedroom. They are off to Pembroke for the week, lucky ducks.
        Wow @redstar that's a lot of milk.
Love the sound of an alpaca relaxation @AuntyRach

Good afternoon eveyone. Well, as expected we were incredibly busy this morning at the Food Bank. 3 hours of non-stop activity and the usual person who rocks up at 2 minutes to go when we have packed everything away and done our stock check. So annoying. I sometimes wonder if they think that we might just be giving away everything that has been left. It was quite chilly when I picked up my Bestie and funny you mentioning 'wharf' @redstar because as I parked my car at the wharf where I leave it on Food Bank days, my Bestie spotted a rat, which she pointed out to me. It soon warmed up though and by the time we left to go back to the car it was gorgeous - warm and dry.
@Penny_Forthem, one of my brothers and his wife were travelling to Anglesey today with their daughter and her family as they are going to a wedding tomorrow. Seems like a rather unusual day to get married on but it is one of my niece's school friends who is tying the knot.
Loving the Easter bonnets on the eagles @Fourmerkland.

Pleased to read that your favourite eatery maintained its excellent standard. @Busy-Lizzie. I get really upset when I have no room left for a dessert when I go out for a meal. I somehow feel cheated.
@Penny_Forthem, I hope you have fun tonight with your visitors. Regarding your quote:

Remember that US gallons are about 20% less than our imperial gallons - still a fair amount of milk but perhaps not quite as much as you imagined. I have been amused watching my little birds carrying clumps of alpaca fleece from the holder I have in my garden. I've already filled it twice. So maybe they will be having an alpaca relaxation too

Good evening all! Sorry to be absent, but there's not been a lot of spare time while we've had visitors.

A busy day here with all four grandchildren and their parents. The 4-year-old gets a bit excited by all the company - but a good time was had by all, and they polished off most of the food. It'll be a lot quieter from early afternoon when our York family leaves for the ferry!

I've been putting out the wildlife camera each evening, but so far have captured photos only of cats and birds. Hoping for a return of the shed hedgehog, but she was showing signs of old age last summer when she had difficulty raising her young, so it's possible we may have lost her over winter. There must be others around, though, so hopefully we'll see more signs soon - there have been occasional poos on the lawn...

Oo those birds will be cosy @Ladybird4. I love the feel of Alpaca fleece. When I went on a walk with some (Brecon Beacons) last time, I was sinking my hands into their coat the whole walk.

I’ve only seen hedgehog poop this year too @Liriodendron but feel they must be close.

I nearly had an eye out earlier… my gardening fleece has metal toggles on the end of string, I have removed the waist level ones already as they clanged annoyingly, but the neck ones remain and as I lifted it up - twang! right in the eye!

                  Have a peaceful evening folks.

Evening everybody, haven't done much today apart from my usual walk to get the paper. Also had to buy 4 greetings cards, that was an eye opener. March/April have the most family birthdays followed closely by July in this family. It was a toss-up who felt the least poorly to go so I volunteered - first time in nearly a fortnight. This really is a nasty virus so do hope none of you lot get it.

Ouch, that must have hurt @AuntyRach, hope your eye is okay now.

@Liriodendron, that's quite a family party! No wonder the 4 year old gets excited. You'll be glad of the peace and quiet when they've all gone home, as well as some sadness I guess.

Glad you've been able to do something garden related @Penny_Forthem, hopefully the arm pain is beginning to ease?

My daughter also reported that the Food Bank where she volunteers was very busy last Friday, they were giving out double quantities as not open tomorrow of course.

Hot Cross Buns tomorrow!! Looking forward to those with a good cup of coffee.

A very good morning one and all. I hope that you all have a wonderful day and for all of you wanting to follow the old superstition, you should be sowing your parsley seeds at 15:00 today. Its looking a bit dull here at the moment but it may get out nice later. I will be taking some tomato plants across to Jack today and cleaning out the front garden bird bath. I noticed with amusement the resident robin standing on the edge of the bath, furiously flapping its wings but without even getting near the water.

I was so sorry to read that you and your OH are still not feeling so good @lizzie27. For the first time yesterday I actually noticed that the cough I have had since last December has eased off and I'm hoping I am coming out of the other side of that affliction.

                          Good morning to you all!

Happy Easter Weekend to everyone. Although France is a christian country, today is not a bank holiday but Monday is. So it is business as usual. Rain is forecast for Saturday and Sunday, but it seems to change from one day to the next. Sunny today. Looks promising so far!

I hope you will feel better over the weekend @lizzie27 and gardening therapy is the best therapy @Penny_Forthem for boosting the moral - easy on the arm! Watch those dangly things @AuntyRach Eyes are precious!! There seem to be quite a few cats around here too @Busy-Lizzie and they leave their mess on the freshly weeded and dug garden which is a nuisance. They use the walls around here as their perimetre and no Fizz is not a cat lover but tends to ignore them unless she can get them to skedaddle!! Then it's hot pursuit! They keep the birds away too (I am hoping for a swallow family as they have been flittering around). We had a cat (Big Joe) and Border Collie (Jessie) before Fizz and they got on very well.

A trip to the SM this morning - clean out the fridge first to make way - and some housework. I see the sun coming in through the windows - hmmm. After the rain ........ not good. I went to the hairdresser yesterday morning to have some dark grey highlights, a cut (not restyle) and blow wave - I came out a couple of hours later nearly 100euros poorer!!! Luckily a 6-monthly session. A small one-person salon but she took a blow wave whilst the colour was working. I am well-pleased with the result which is the main thing.

The robin story made me laugh @Ladybird4 I can remember when my mother was washing my brother's face when little - he would say "You can wash my face, but don't put water on it!!"

Well I'd better get a move on and greet the day!! A pleasant day to everyone.

Good morning all. Yesterday was busy but we coped. I was in bed by 9pm and didn’t stir when OH got home at 10pm I was out for the count.
Grey and cool here we are off to Telford to see MIL later then a quiet evening at home together.
