@Plantminded, I probably paid more for mine though but yours may do better in the long run. I think bareroots often do. This was my Easter treat to myself (one of them anyway, there may also have been chocolate).
My avatar is Midnight Blue, but sadly not my own plant, which was new last year and did very badly in the rain. As I have heard it described on another forum, Midnight Brown!

I've got a few bits over the weekend , got the ones on the tray from a local alpine show on Saturday - saxifrage - podophyllum - zaushneria .

I've been to Harrogate flower show today its been a really nice day for it, picked up Dahlia silent night - Primula auricula Gizabroon and 5x lily black beauty bulbs . Everything very expensive at these sorts of shows now particular food / drink

I like fuchsia Hawkshead too, @Sheal, though I think it is a very silly moniker for such a dainty plant. :) You may find you have a couple in that good-sized pot and can separate them out. They are very robust.

Epimedium bought in local open air market, but it had no name on the pot. I didn't notice until I got home or would have asked the stall owner. Maybe I'll ask him next week.

Judging by the water it's soaking up I think it's pot bound. I'll be planting it at the weekend so will see whether separation is a possibility.

I often wonder how some plants get their names @ViewAhead . One of the roses from a previous garden...

I had another Fuchsia arrive in the post today called 'Blue Bush' in a 9cm pot. I bought it from Victoriana Nursery and I'm not at all happy. It's little more than a damaged, rooted cutting and not looking that great. I wouldn't normally buy anything this small but it's the only nursery that I could find that supplied it.

Rescued these Astrantia out of a skip on Friday no one throws plants away on my watch :nonofinger: , I am sure they are Roma from memory of that garden shame really. They are not much use to me but I'll give them out and possibly plant some in the bog garden

I bought this last week, and on the label it's called 'Scaredy Cat Plant' or something stupid :frown:
I've found its correct name, Coleus canina ... can't be doing with 'Scaredy Cat Plant' [IMG]

I bought it because it's a succulent plant with thick fleshy leaves and a strong smell of menthol.

When primula vialii Alison Holland was first shown, I wanted it like mad, but it was always overpriced for me. The last couple of years I hadn't seen much about it, so assumed it was a bit miffy and hard to grow. Yesterday I went to a local garden centre and saw it - 3 for £12 and good sized plants. So of course ...

I've been waiting since last year for Dahlia tamaulipana to be back in stock at a nursery (I missed out by one day when I went last year). I was notified of stock last Friday, ordered it and a couple of other things to spread the postage, it arrived this morning. The nursery was out of stock again by Monday.
Got Lonicera rupicola syringantha, this is a summer flowering, shrubby honeysuckle with lilac scented small lilac pink flowers; it's to replace Syringa microphylla that died last year.

I don’t normally buy annuals but I was looking for an upright blue flowered addition to a new border that I planted yesterday. Salvia farinacea ‘Sallyfun Deep Ocean’ (keep it simple please!) beckoned to me in the garden centre . It’s too late to photograph but this is how looks, taken off a supplier’s site:

I have that one but mine didn't have a clarifying name but I think i did it from seed three years ago. I will get a pic later.
