Your cynaroides is looking really good @pete - it'll be past the window soon! I know you make a cover for it in the winter, but is that double glazed? Or heated?

That is the conservatory window which is double glazed and heated, but the winter cover is not heated

Azara serrata is flowering brilliantly this year. The colours are so vibrant in the sunshine and so many of them and the added bonus is the fragrance. Beautiful.

More Acers with Viburnum opulus snowball in the background. The Viburnum is usually in it's full glory Chelsea week, but like a lot of other things it's early this year.

Thanks to @Plantminded excellent advice on how to treat tree ferns, my tree fern hasn’t only enrolled the fourth leaf, but I saw that a fifth leaf is coming. I never had so many leaves in one year coming.

Thank you @simone_in_wiltshire, that’s great news :blue thumb:. Mine is rather slow this year with no fronds unfurled yet. I can see about double the amount in development though so 2025 could be a record year!

My other ferns, the common one from Tintern and the Dryopteris affinis 'The King' also took ages to get fronds active. They are a bit late by three to four weeks.

Allium season has started. This one has a dandelion seed crown.

Loads of new growth and ripening berries on the Mahonia. I bought this the autumn before last and carried it home from the GC on foot, with the prickly leaves inches from my face. It's pretty much doubled in size now. The birds will be eating the berries soon and then I'll find blue bird poo all over the place.

Erysimum "Bowles Mauve" and Alpine strawberries. Viburnum Tinus and a Japanese Anenome providing the foliage in the background. This area is really a bit too shady for the Erysimum, which has only just started flowering.
