Hope your blue Corydalis manage to thrive @ViewAhead. I know I'm in the minority with the colour blue - there are only a few exceptions for me - Harebells are one. It's that pale, forget me not colour I really dislike. I grow white Dicentras and they've gone mad in the l ast couple of years due to the changing climate. I could fill the entire garden with them! One of my favourite plants.

The weather this year has meant that the larger flowered clematis have managed to grow without being totally annihilated by slugs. Every cloud eh... or in this case - the lack of clouds earlier on! Very few aphids, but I don't grow lots of plants that they like. The Euphorbia always gets a fair old whack though, but the dunnocks and blue tits eat them. Too early here for the little froghoppers which create the cuckoo spit. We do get them though. Hope your plants manage to recover @Allotment Boy. It's very frustrating when you put so much effort into plants and then nature decides you just ain't getting the reward. Every year I get disappointment with those clematis, so this year is a real bonus. My C. Niobe has come back to life - it's one of my favourites.
Not much will be done today I think. It's meant to clear up a bit later on, so I might get a few plants moved. Finished my storage box/refurb yesterday, so I'm really pleased with that. I checked it earlier and the heavy rain and wind hasn't got in so - result .
Still have some shelves to sort out in it, and the handle to attach, but there's no real rush for that. Might get a few more plants shifted.

Today I deadheaded a few more plants including roses, osteospermums, Geums and violas. I also placed an order for some echinaceas and a new grass, Miscanthus Red Spear, from Knoll Gardens which will add some extra colour and interest to my mixed grass and perennial border. It looks like M. Malepartus but with darker, spear shaped inflorescences. I think I’ve got space for it .

Yesterday I decided that my front garden needed more colour. I can't see the garden from the house and I don't use the front door but my neighbours seem to like the grasses there! It was all looking a bit flat, so as a start, I widened the border next to where I park my car where there's already a Box hedge and some lilac coloured Achilleas. I'd forgotten how demanding lifting turf can be . The soil was poor, mainly sand with lots of stones and rubble (builders were not bothered 50 years ago either!) I added two bags of compost and a bag of farmyard manure, moved some Geums, G.Totally Tangerine, from elsewhere and planted a couple of Dahlias, D. Bishop of Llandaff. I've got some orange Osteospermums to add plus some Hakonechloa, probably tomorrow as it's raining today.

A bit of everything today. Weeding, pruning, dead heading and feeding.

Nothing. Too wet, too cold, too windy. Did I do housework instead? Erm ... nope!

It’s poly greenhouse fiddling day. A few things to pot-on, some to harden-off and another sowing of lettuces.

Have just taken advantage of a small improvement to get two little plants into the ground. :hapydancsmil: Feel like I have achieved something ... and certainly more than I expected to given the conditions. :blue thumb: Plus, I now have fewer pots to water!

Crumbs my compost bin is full of ants! I’ve given it a good stir and added some water (possibly dry?) so maybe they’ll move out, or maybe they are doing it good??

                                Watered in the tunnel.
Picked the 3rd large bowl of redcurrants. Best harvest in years. Thankfully the blackbirds have given them a miss this year but having said that we haven't seen many in the garden in the last few weeks.
