I like that Cosmos @Bluejayway
    But it's a very nice 'jumble' @Michael Hewett :)
Despite our hot/dry spring, and higher than average temps here, our gardens are still much further behind many of the ones shown here.
Clematis Star of India is doing well though
    113_0026.JPG

The lilies are managing better due to the lack of slug damage
Not sure what this one is - I bought some bulbs for a couple of pounds when I moved in here. It'll be Black Magic or somthing similar!

Iris ensata Kumo no Obi is now in full flow

Thank you @fairygirl  I keep thinking of how I can make it look neater, but everyone I talk to passing by say they like it as it is.

Your garden looks summery even though you say it's behind many others

Thanks @Michael Hewett . Yes - on the sunny days, things look good. I know many of our plants are not as far on as many gardens further south though -no astilbes or hydrangeas in flower yet for example, but the weather has meant that a lot of plants that struggle to get going have done far better than usual. Swings and roundabouts

I've often thought of growing the dark Scabious @Bluejayway, but that gives a similar effect -in colour anyway. I don't think it would be hardy enough here though - not reliably anyway.
            Pity.

This fab poppy opened its first flower today and is attracting all the pollinators. I usually go for the simpler flowers since they're supposed to be better for the insects, but these were free seeds and they all seem happy to just dive straight into the petals.

If you decide to overwinter a lobelia bedding plant outside and you notice a stem has been nibbled loose, and you pop it in a vase and it grows roots, so you pot it up ... you might end up with something like this. :)

                IMG_0231.jpeg

And if you go into Home Bargains for some dental tape and a jar of instant coffee, but you somehow manage to come home with an Impatiens labelled "white", you might end up with this.

Well it might be cheating but I think this looks pretty good. Considering how dry it's been and ive been away so not watered for a week. Sadly only two more like this. 17506082390561910106250296275917.jpg
