Morrisons again - they had beautiful big chilli plants for £6 today. Lots of varieties, I really struggled to choose. This one has lots of flowers and 1 ripe fruit already.

Lidl, couldn't resist these two Alstroemeria Inticancha hybrids, Indigo and Romance at only £9.99 each. I have seen them in GCs for £13/£15 and in smaller pots.

Needed something tallish and pretty neutral colour wise, so invested in Lavatera Marshmallow 'Ice White' today.

I bought a new hosepipe after getting totally frustrated with the old one, full of kinks, and heavy to drag (damaging the young planting) to nearly reach the greenhouse and then fingerplaying with the spray to reach the pots out of the range.

          Ta-dah!

          upload_2025-6-28_21-59-14.png

This is so good that I volunteered to leave a review on Amazon until I realised that my review has no chance to be accepted on grounds of suitability for families.

OK, try describing that once its turned on, it swells and grows in length and width, bulging with pressure and once the final release has occurred, it slowly shrinks back to a modest, wrinkly size. Zero kinkiness.

I like the fact that I can target- water pots with the on- off pistol control, not wasting water between the pots. It also has a bit that keeps the flow open if needed, to be like like a normal hosepipe with a constant flow.

Very happy with this so far :)

Well, this is interesting. I can only think that the company caters for American or Japanese customers. They have an excellent selection of weed seeds! :heehee:

            Stinging Nettle seeds (Urtica dioica)

Anyways, I have just made an order to see what I get, judging by the plant descriptions my garden will be infested with Hummingbirds next summer

I bought some smart blue terracotta pots half price this afternoon.
Might go back tomorrow for 2 more.

I bought one of those last year, I liked that the leaves are soft. It didn't flower last winter but I hope it will have a few this year, it's small at the moment though.

My latest purchace - a few cacti,
                  and Hibiscus 'Mahogany Splendour'

                    Nice hibiscus @Michael Hewett !
As I showed in pics in thread "whats looking good June", my keen gardening friend and I spent many hours yesterday at Farmyard Nurseries. I tried to resist, but bought:
                    roscoea cautleyoides "nguloko village"
Roscoea red leaf form, magenta flowers
Lilium longifolium (maybe... Furry stems, black bulbils)
                    Asarum splendens
                    Watsonia wilmaniae
Linaria triornithophera ( last one eaten by slugs)
Sarracenia hybrid ( my other sarracenia is happy outside all year long)

I got 3 more Yorkshire pots today the two big ones at the front and the one rear , I've been after these large pots for a year , they've been sat there for ages ( 3 of them ) at full price £75 then £50 still not cheap enough for me but today £30 each and all 3 were there. Unfortunately I were on the bike at the time and had plans to go to another GC for a bacon butty , disaster no bacon :gaah: . By time I gone back with the van one of the big pots gone :gaah: dam you who ever got it , so got the smaller one for £10 . Picked up some bidens - petunia and pelargonium on my ventures . Ordered some seeds today as well

Lovely pots @Perki - I like the shape. Shame about the third - but you could have paid first and asked them to put them away!

Michael, are those white flowers on it?

                          Thanks @Victoria ...

The white flowers are Dianthus in the pot behind, they keep flopping over. It's own flowers are dark burgundy, and I hope to see some maybe next year.
It would do well in your garden, apparently it's tolerant of heat and drought. It won't see much of those here !
It is also quite suitable for pots, that's why I bought it ... and the leaf colour too.
