Sambuca Black Lace issue

    I struck lots of cuttings of the above maybe 4 years ago, sold them at my charity plant sale and gave1 to my Brother.
    He planted his against railings and threaded the branches through the bars. He pruned the plant about 2 months ago as the railings needed painted. The new growth is appearing but it’s green! Any ideas? I told him to leave alone and prune back the growths next spring but seems odd.

    the new growth is often green tinted but it should go black again, especially with sunlight. it can be green in the dark also.

      Yes, mine always starts green. You can see it doesn't take long to darken (here in full sun)
