That's very amusing and well done. Hope there's no crashes because drivers get distracted though!

It isn't meant to be amusing - the housing of illegal immigrants is though .

Spoilt by the presence of the two flag banners. We would have waited till 1095/9 to see one, and till 1606 for the other.
Good to see the commemoration of my ancestors victory against the Saxon infidel !

I wouldn't go that far; I don't think Willy Windsor has ever been helped out of tricky situation in Normandy by the illegitimate son of the Duke of Normandy and as a result taken a sacred oath to hand over the throne of England, if he should ever be in a position to occupy it.

Yes, the significant part being that it was a Papal banner; Norman french being Franks in sucession from struggles in lowland Germany and William mis-represented Harold as an 'infidel' to gain support from the Pope. He was in fact Christian but that did not fit the narrative....
The Norman bishop ,from who I may be descended, ventured to Winchester and built the first Cathedral there, which subsequently collapsed due to being sited upon marshy ground. This may be significant...

Harold broke his "freely" given sacred oath to William, no Christian would do that so obviously an infidel/pagan.
