Made some more soup from our pumpkins, onions, parsley and garlic. Put some in the freezer for another day. We needed the soup as it has become so cold and it helps us to warm up.

I like cavolo nero but it tastes quite salty to me. I assume there's a high level of something or other in it.

Maybe how you cook it? It's high in fibre, calcium, iron and potassium but low in sodium.

I just boil it in water or steam it. Nothing added at all. @Obelix-Vendée
          Maybe it's the potassium.

I also made a lentil soup but a totally different type. :)

Mine was an Indian Dhal soup. Made with red lentils, onions, garlic, freshly ground roasted cumin seeds, homemade garam masala, a touch of chilli, bay leaves, and tomato paste (couldn't be bothered to use our own tomatoes :heehee:) and served with lemon slices.

Half the saucepan full had been taken before I could get the camera out.

No mushrooms here as Possum thinks she doesn't like them. OH will be having dinner with pals after a golf competition so Possum and I will have duck breast with plum sauce, gratin dauphinois, cavolo nero and peas.
