It has smooth foliage like grevillea victoriae, simple rounded leaves. It appears much hardier than victoriae too, and incredibly long flowering. However I'm have real trouble getting cuttings to take. None so far! I'm now trying air layering, as it doesn't have any branches at ground level to do normal layers

Beautiful colours on the old rowan tree, covered in flowering ivy. The birds are very slow to take the berries this year, probably because there is just so much wild food around. The hedges are laden with hawthorn berries, and the fallen crab apples are quite a hazard on my walk home home from work.

While walking I noticed that the wildflowers around us start to flower again.

                      20251031wildflowers_03.jpg

Last weekend, I had moved a Bleeding Heart from my old bed into the new one in front of the bench hoping it enjoys more the open position in the sun. It was quite cramped in my old bed and probably felt very squeezed next to a tree branch. What I didn't expect that it starts to develop new stems inside FIVE days.

If the trees around us wouldn't be in clearly autumnal stage, one could believe it's SPRING.

                      Neighbour's Cherry tree.

@simone_in_wiltshire I think the plants are a bit confused - I saw a big purple rhododendron in full flower today! Your bleeding heart should be hiding ready for winter - I hope it doesn't get new growths damaged.

Yes, Caroline, this year is definitely the one that we will remember as the year where flower plants needed to have a second flush just to show everything is weird.
