If you go outside one day, and it's 2C, and you go out the next day and it's 4C, do you say "oh goody, it's twice as warm today?".

What about when you go from 0C to 1C - that's infinity times as warm!

@NigelJ you're right, it is balansae. But Farmyard say it's only 30cm, which confused me. I've found other sites saying 60-90cm. But I've just been out to measure mine, and it's 110cm and lives in near enough full sun (though damp soil). As it's obviously a vigorous clone, I've now taken some cuttings, as sod's law says that despite happily growing there for a few years, something will now get it!

@CarolineL 110 cm that's a similar sort of size to mine, mine has flowered, not this year though.

Fuchsia paniculata this is in the ground in a sheltered spot after I failed to keep a couple of these alive for very long with over wintering in a cold greenhouse.

First flower on my little Viburnum farreri, it's got a few more buds and I'm hoping for more as it grows bigger

The last and the first flowers.

I had bought this Crocosmia in August, planted it in a pot. I don't expect it to be flowering at this time of the year next year, in 2026.

                    20251113ourgarden_01.jpg

The Geum Totally Tangerine starts now flowering. I had bought it last year and it flowered from Winter to May. It's a real pleasure to have it in the garden. I like orange, especially if everything around is grey.

Finally a picture from the weekend 9 days ago.

                    20251109ourgarden_01.jpg

All pictures were taken while taking care of the leaves in the garden. As you can see, neighbour's Cherry tree has almost no leaves.

@Bluejayway your Delta Sarah fuchsia is still doing well! I have seen lots of that variety recently - growing huge and still flowering around here too. It seems very robust.
