The worst thing about B&M is that they don't reduce prices on plants. I saw a chamaeleucum (wax flower) in the summer there. It was a bit pricey, so I thought I'd see if they reduced it. Months later, still there, looking virtually dead, same price!

I received a Ceoanthus 'Concha' yesterday and potted it up this morning. As it appeared rather unruly, I put a cane in it and tied it up.

Seems to apply to Suttons as well, new plant turned up today, spot the difference, its the kind of plant I'd expect to find in the discounted rack at a garden centre, alive but in its death throes if you dont buy me quick.
Probably worth about a punt at 3 quid in my opinion, without P&P charges.

Sent them another E mail suggesting they have a word with their suppliers, its not a £10 plant by any means even though it is alive, its a rooted cutting that has been pruned back and as such is suffering dieback.

I bet if you tipped the pot out there wouldn't be much root ball.

I've not looked to be honest, but got a refund today from Suttons and a thanks for the feedback.

I've tipped them both out and actually they have filled the pot, totally pot bound so possible that they needed potting on during the growing season which suggests they may just be leftovers.

Just delivered - Apricot "Isabelle" from Chris Bowers.
I will soak the roots overnight tonight and then get it planted tomorrow - forecast looks good.

Might be a bit early yet, looking at the 2024 thread we were talking about 75% off just before Christmas.

Well I did venture out to take a look 50% off but nothing I wanted.
