Nice @Spruce ! I wouldn't have believed pics like that in the past, but I saw some in a specialist's garden this summer and they were amazing! Vanilla fraise was a bit like the top one

 

You have too good a memory! But yes, this is now my third attempt, before with seeds and then cuttings, The latter I got going and even flowers, but alas! I don't get much help and at times I desperately need it. So I will keep my as I love the fruit.

new varieties for 2025 , shorter growing and stronger stems as the older varieties to tend to flop with the weight of the flowers ..

 

Pepinos are great fun. Just cut them back every year and over winter like peppers, I think thats the best way to do it. Doing stuff like that is work though, have to water it indoors and so on.

 

Thank you Adam, but I am in Algarve and we don't have a Winter as such. Now we are nearing 12c and will go to the high teens if the forecast is correct. I can't have plants indoors as it is an old cottage with small windows and windowsills are on the outside.

 

Had a delivery from Farmer Gracy yesterday. I'd forgotten what I ordered so it was a bit disturbing to see those long brown fingers sticking out of the packaging!

Urginea Maritima (sea squill) and Eremurus Himalaicus in the first picture.

I also got some Muscari "Esther" and Meadow Saxifrage.
