    Morning. It's a grand day!
I'm just off to the village hall with my neighbour for a wreath making course. I hope a festive mince pie will put me in the mood.
But first, I need to nip to the next village to collect my buffalo blue cheese.

Good morning all. Currently dry and windy here too, @Badly_Maintained , but we too have rain forecast for this afternoon, when I shall be planting daffodil bulbs alongside the church path in my neighbouring village. Waterproofs at the ready!

I've managed to download just one of the photos from the wildlife camera - this one shows our "resident" vixen about to run off with the cat's dish, in which we'd put hedgehog food. We've still not found it. I expect it's under a hedge somewhere, having been licked clean of any scent of food...

      Fox with dish.JPG

She has her non-reflective eye towards the camera. The eye doesn't appear to be damaged, but because it doesn't reflect the flash, we can always tell when she's been around. She's using up our sub-standard cooking apples now, and hoovering up any hedgehog food left by Spikey, who is usually around earlier in the night. We now put the food directly onto the concrete path, so there's no "hardware" for the vixen to steal!

        Afternoon all.

I did a wreath making day a few years ago @Penny_Forthem and then I started doing my own arrangements. Here’s a selection from a few years ago:

          Good afternoon,
          They were pretty arrangements @AuntyRach.
A good photo of the vixen @Liriodendron. I wonder where she’s hidden the dish :)?
We went along to The Methodists Christmas fayre this morning. They often support ours, so it’s nice to reciprocate.
They made very tasty turkey, bacon and stuffing sandwiches today, so that was lunch sorted. I won a box of biscuits on the tombola stall, too.
There was a sharp frost first thing, but it’s beginning to cloud over a bit now but is still forecast to remain dry today. A big improvement on yesterday which was a very wet day.

            Hello all.

It's been a lovely sunny day today in south Norfolk, though the heavy dew stayed wet all day and my rubber shoes have starting leaking. I pruned 2 more roses, Oranges and Lemons and Westerland, weeded the end bed and half the long border. The garden bin is full again and a big pop up green bag is over half full. There were nettles from the overgrown chicken run, no more chickens, next door and loads of big greater celandines. They are pretty but rampant.

I hope you enjoyed your lunch and the Christmas market @Obelix-Vendée.

Great photo of the vixen thief, @Liriodendron.

            Your arrangements are lovely @AuntyRach.

Your vixen looks a lot healthier than the scrawny specimen we came across driving through Moutiers-les-Mauxfait on our way home from dance class on Tuesday @Liriodendron.

Love your wreaths @AuntyRach. I might have persuaded Possum to have a go at making one this year after seeing some really cruddy ones today.

We had a very good lunch @Busy-Lizzie at Le Carré and will go again - plenty of fish for OH and me and duck for Possum. The Xmas market was small but well laid out with lots of local artisanal jewellery, decorations, cheeses and honey. We found the the British twinning stand and bought crackers and cards. It had started to be almost sunny before lunch but then a cold sea fret came in as we left the market so we've come straight home to warm up with a cuppa.

              I hope everyone's had a good day.

We overslept again so it was 11 ish before we went for our usual walk. After three days of waiting Evri finally delivered our two parcels but left them outside the garage side door instead of the front door. OH's new waterproof jacket fitted perfectly so that's his Xmas presie from me sorted.
My other box was a nice pack of ten slate plant labels, complete with metal shepherd crooks pins and two chalk pens. I plan to use them to mark where I've planted bulbs as I seem to be always digging them up by mistake. Might need a lot more labels though.
Decided to have a late lunch after gardening. I potted up the yellow violas I had bought yesterday and then found a small row of TnT daffs coming up - in the veg bed. No idea why!

Lunch sounded good @Obelix-Vendee but not the sea fret. I hate it when that rolls in unexpectedly.

You need your wellies and waterproof trousers @Busy-Lizzy.

The village had a Xmas Craft Fair this morning but I'm afraid we didn't go. What did look good this year is that somebody had crocheted squares in bright colours and made garlands which were strung right along the iron fencing outside the church. It was similar to their earlier Remembrance Day knitted poppy garlands. Their Xmas tree was a cone about 6 ft high of similar crocheted squares. Looked very cheery.

Cheese, cheese and yet more cheese - Oh is very fond of it but I'm not so keen.

I thoroughly enjoyed my afternoon 'stuck in the village hall'
There were 20 of us, all with the same greenery, bag of decorations and instructions, different ribbons; there were 20 very different wreaths!
                  Not sure about that robin...
                  Wreath dec 25.jpg

My comment, upon choosing the dog ribbon, that we have 3 spaniels, elicited various gasps, some approving, some sympathetic, a few shocked that we could be so stupid. I did identify with the latter!
Anyway, having spent 2 nights in the top doggy 5* hotel, Rufus has obviously missed us; he's super affectionate.

Some lovely wreaths, what a talented lot you are! A very sunny, but initially cold day here, so down to the seaside! Had coffee and pastries for a late breakfast, then a decent stroll on the prom. I had a quick mooch around d a couple of shops, but not very enjoyable with OH in tow! He doesn’t have a ‘browse’ setting! We did hear some carol singers, and a small band playing in the town square, so all rather Christmassy. Apart from cooking a late lunch, I’ve done a lot of sitting around this afternoon. I did manage to stir myself sufficiently to assemble a batch of pigs in blankets, now bagged up and in the freezer. I have delivered 2 (of 3) cards to the neighbours, the third will have to wait until I have the energy to climb the steps up to their house, plus the further steps up to their front door. They are even higher up the side of the hill than we are.

Aaargh! I had just typed a long message but when I came to post it I wasn't signed in so I lost it! Curses and profane words! I managed to get washing done this morning and pegged out despite the rather feeble sunshine - at least there was a bit of a breeze. Mid morning my NDN's partner, Steve came round bringing my Christmas card and told me that she had invited some of her friends round and Steve was going to show them how to make wreaths. As it was chilly (my hands had gone into dead spider mode when I was pegging out the washing) she wanted their fire pit lit. Steve had said no as my washing was on the line. I assured him it was not a problem and to just go ahead. Mid afternoon he came round again and presented me with a lovely wreath he had used as his demo. I was really touched.
Loving the picture of your thieving vixen @Liriodendron - she was determined to carry that cat food dish away.

Evening folks. Just popping in as I make a drink halfway through Strictly. Thank you for liking my flower arrangements.

@Allotment Boy I can occasionally get Comté and, as I don't mind the softer cheeses, Reblochon and Brie de Meaux at my Tesco branch. I do treat myself when they are in stock
