    Good afternooooon!!

We had a glorious sunny day yesterday so I did a load of washing and heated the hot water (from my production of solar panels).

Today is dismal with the threat of rain, but none so far. Forecast for this sort of weather through to and maybe after Christmas. It isn't cold - 15°C but the sea breeze makes it damp.

I had my first session with my super physio therapist - and she is super - not because she is of Asian origin, but she studies the problem and tends thus. She pressed down on the psoas and that was painful - no pain, no gain but after the session when I lifted my leg to get into my car, it was pain-free. It didn't last long though. More sessions to go and she will try and release the area. Then "taped" me up. I don't want a steroid injection or an operation to snip the tendon, thank you kindly!! (Mr Surgeon)

My mother had osteoporosis so I have been taking Vitamin D for a number of years. I have a once a month dose.

Babysitting on the agenda tonight so that Fizz's coach's mum can go and watch her husband play the last match of the year. The girls are usually tucked up in bed by the time I get there. She leaves me a nice supper!! I remember back in my babysitting days - the supper!!

Afternoon tea with the volunteer brigade for the homework help. We all got a lovely box of Jeff Bruges chocolates! I have been roped in to helping out with basic sewing classes for adults in the New Year. One afternoon a week.

I hope you are having a warm and pleasant day and getting lots done!!

I had a 'small/light' lunch out with bestie, but even that's filled me. Pub's own take on southern fried chicken breast 'burger', but I didn't have the bun. It was delicious.
Then we bit the bullet and went to Lidl. There was a broken down coach on a blind hill/bend, but we didn't have to wait too long to pass. It obviously hasn't moved, as the traffic's queuing through the village and backing up onto the A55.
Lidl gave us some fruitful pickings, including smoked trout, pates and charcuterie. I thought their cheese selection poor.
Yet another lunch out tomorrow, though at an Italian 'small plates' restaurant on the Wirral. I can really pick a small plate I want, 'Linguine al cartoccio con gamberoni'. I'll be happy with that.

It poured with very heavy rain most of the day here. We braved the run to the garden centre, with coffee and a shared piece of orange and carrot cake in the food shop next door. Delicious! The cafe is dog friendly, so I got to pet several of them, plus a cuddle with a five month old lurcher - I’d have happily taken her home with me.
We didn’t spend too long in the garden centre, by then the rain was so heavy that we were getting worried about the road home, which regularly floods. We got the bird food, and somehow I found time to try on, and buy, a pair of waterproof trainers. They will come in useful!
The road home was pretty bad but still passable.
I think I’ve now finished my decorations apart from utilising some of the spare lights in a dull corner. I must check if there is a Christmas tree photo thread on the forum this year!

@tui. Can I ask what you take just once a month of Vitamin D please? I should take the vit but can’t tolerate a daily dose. I’d be interested to know about the monthly dose. TIA.

Hello everyone. Well hair 'do' went OK and I am happy with the results. The guy who had been my second in department at school came to have his hair cut too so we had an extra special catch up - with a bit of reminiscing. He lost his wife earlier this year but is now pursuing his hobbies of golf and he plays guitar in a band. He is clueless about gardening as that was his wife's domain so he did a lot of brain picking. The weather continued to be disgusting and everywhere is sodden. I have made up my mind that cough or no I will go to have my flu vaccination tomorrow morning at 10:00. I might just have a wee mooch in town too - see how the bomb site has changed since I was last there.
Whilst sitting in my living room yesterday I was aware of a movement in the shrubbery outside my front window. At first I thought it was a female blackbird visiting the bird bath nearby. I carefully picked up my phone, turned on the camera and used it as a magnifier to get a better look. This is a picture I took of my surprise visitor:
            Kestrel.jpg
It was a kestrel and you can bet your bottom dollar I won't see that next month when I do the Big Garden Bird Watch! I watched him/her for several minutes before it flew away.

We had a good lunch with our friends. I don't think I'll want anything this evening.

Just had a long chat with daughter 2 in France on my phone.

It's been wet and windy today.

I don't really have anything interesting to report, sorry. Going to go and watch TV with OH.

Horrible wet day, it only eased off after dark. Glad it did stop because we went to see Top Hat at the Southbank in London. At least the walk from Waterloo was dry in the air if not underfoot.
Lovely show good old fashioned entertainment, corny old story line but great singing and dancing which is what we went for

Good morning all. It would be nice to have a bit of the white stuff to make it feel like Christmas rather than dismal November but I guess that like the last few years it will stay grey and wet. Have a good day everyone.
