Good afternoon everyone. Such great posts to catch up on since this morning. @Badly_Maintained that is such excellent news. I am just wondering how long grandson of your neighbour will enjoy being a Grandma sitter though. Fingers crossed everything is more settled now and you can return to fewer broken nights. I second @Songbird's advice re using Google as a DIY resource. Its quite amazing what useful advice (often via YouTube) can be found there. @lizzie27 how wonderful your news about the super efficiency of your hospital. It can be quite stressing trying to get appoinments etc. balanced but they have really been on the ball for you. @Penny_Forthem when I set out to go to my Bestie's this morning there was a thick mist - couldn't go as far as calling it fog but it did give a spooky feel to the day.

On cloudy wet days like this we don't benefit from the lengthening days, it was nearly dark before 4pm today.
I agree about drivers with no lights and kamakazi pedestrians etc.
My wife decided to drop me at PO so I met here later in Sainsbugs, we got a bargain pack of chicken breasts, on their date but all in the freezer now. At least 4 meals for less than the postage for my licence application!.

That's great news @Badly_Maintained. I hope it works out.

Good bargain @Allotment Boy. We were pleased with Sainsbugs too, on Monday.

We are shocked at how many cyclists there are on the country roads of Norfolk with dark clothing and no lights.

We went to Little Walsingham today to meet my brother for lunch in a pub. He is making a short pilgrimage there with a friend. There are 2 shrines to Mary there, Anglican and Catholic, and people come from all over the world. My brother lives in Wales but he's been staying with a friend in Kent. We had a good but copious lunch so nothing this evening.

          Next episode of Traitors soon!

I watched Celebrity Traitors @AuntyRach and turned into an addict! I'll watch the first two series when we next come back to Norfolk. We leave for France on Tuesday.

Hello all. Well I am beginning to think that I am in a different country, watching some of the images on TV this morning. Apart from a sleety shower last night, we have had no heavy snow or high winds and all is clear here this morning. This does mean that our Friday lunch won't be affected. I do hope that wherever you are situated you have not experienced anything too horrible. Stay safe, keep warm, fingers crossed you don't experience power cuts.

Morning @Ladybird4 and those looking in later.

No snow here! Yet just up the valley, about 10 miles, it is quite bad apparently and the schools are closed.

I’ve brought a cuppa (and two cats) back to bed.

Morning everyone, no snow or frost here today. Wet and a bit windy , I know we are lucky here.

Good morning everyone! I trust you are all keeping safe and well. This weather is very hit and miss I see. We have very heavy rain and strong winds, certainly milder than of late.
Our plumber is here this morning replacing the water tank, the old one would only have lasted a couple of more days at best as it had a large split in the back of it! He is a very untidy worker and always leaves a mess everywhere, he has managed to crack a floor tile which is quite old and we don't have a replacement for, does anyone know how I can disguise the crack?
When I went to feed the birds this morning I put on my gardening shoes and there was something in one shoe, I thought perhaps a snail but it was a load of sunflower seeds! I guess a mouse thought it a good storage space.
                      Catch you all later.

All ok with us, but the bungalow across the road had two trees fall on the roof at 10pm last night. The tree surgeons came at 11pm to make sure all was safe, and have just arrived back to sort it out. We were very lucky. Not so the pigeon, whose remains and feathers are spread all over the lawn. I wonder if the cctv has caught the culprit on video? Our friendly crows are busy tidying up the bits.
Annoyingly, I have come down with a bad cold and sore throat. I slept well, courtesy of some cold remedy capsules, and a hot milk with a slug of rum in it! At least I can have a quiet day wrestling with the new phone.

I have marked myself safe from Storm Garibaldi (or similar! :rolleyespink:)
Lots of snow, but little stuck - not the same story up at the caravan!
I have a very hefty D T Brown catalogue, which requires my careful attention today, so it you need me, I'll be on the sofa...

Are you supposed to do that these days, first I've heard of it.
Wouldn't do it even if I knew how. If I'm dead then somebody will notice at some point and if not dead then it's nobody's business anyway.

No snow here either, OH is a bit disappointed. Had some heavy gusts during the night but everything in the garden looks okay and my 'Egg' chair is still upright which is a big relief.

                                Hello all.

No storm here, some wind and rain. I feel so sorry for those poor people on the Norfolk Coast at Hemsby who homes risk sliding into the sea, also those in Cornwall without power.

We've done big shop in Tesco of stuff to take back to France for my four children and us.
