I actually got to the Allotments yesterday afternoon. It stayed dry long enough to do a little bit. So I shifted another 5 barrow loads of the cow Muck 3 went onto the Asparagus bed the other 2 just generally spread. I'm still not fit after this latest bug / virus so that was enough. I picked more sprouts and winter salad from the greenhouse, and brought in another 1/4 sack of spuds in from storage .

A bright and mild day here today so spent a few hours in the garden this morning. What did I do? Good question! Not much at all, just pottered around, tidied a bit here and there, sat a bit and watched my friendly robin. No idea where the time went. Oh, I did top dress my 3 potted roses

Greenhouse a bit of watering and weeding, Cantua buxifolia flowers open and more coming.
Peppers sown and sweet peas set to chit. Peppers are Hungarian Black,Bishop's Crown, some saved seed and two varieties of sweet peppers.
Outside more narcissi, snowdrops and crocuses pushing through.
Near the back door the triffid still thrives and on the staging Ferula communis glauca has germinated, various gladioli, cyclamen, crocuses, muscari and snowdrops all growing happily.

I sowed Broad beans and peas into rootrainers. Potted on some Aonuim cuttings, they have rooted really well in a 50:50 mix of mpc and perlite. I think putting them in terracotta pots helped too.

Sowed some more seeds, now stood outside the greenhouse, did some weeding and tidied up some broken branches.
                      Chilli seeds moved to propagator.

I cut down all the grasses in my front garden, a Miscanthus zebrinus and about 15 Calamagrostis, all showing fresh new shoots. I then did some work for the local council, removing moss on the pavement outside my house. It was spoiling the kerb appeal of my garden .

I cleared out all the junk from behind the shed in preparation for a hedge man to give us a quote for it's total removal.

Not sure yet where the junk is going to go!

Going to say nothing as so wet and floods but then 2 days ago we at last planted out the broad bean seedlings (which looked very good) and covered them to stop the pigeons having a go.
                          And then....nothing
