My wife says that she remembers, as a child, watching her grandfather splitting-up his phlox for transplanting at the end of one year so as to bloom somewhere else the following year.

But all the phlox seeds and plants I have seen in the local garden centres and on the Internet, say, "hardy annual" or "half hardy annual". Do perenniel phlox exist?

My wife wants me to grow some "perenniel" phlox from seed but I've not managed to come across any.

    Can anyone help, please?

You can purchase from plants from Van Meuwen.com...... Don't know of any seeds, you could try having a google for some....;):)

    Hi Marley,

Thanks for that info! My wife said she was given some phlox last year and split them up and they came up this year - and now I remember - you was and she did! So that, also, answers that question!

I have aearched for seeds but (so far) only found annual - however, I'll try again.

The annual phlox are in a minority in the Phlox family, the majority of them are perennials. There are about 67 species.
