Found this while googling- as far as I can recall I have never been on 'Chat Online' so don't know how it got there. :confused:

 

And i most certainly have not been on any chat sites..I have better things to do with my time !! How on earth did our names get to a trash site like that ??

 

Me neither, and my name's there!

 

I don't want to sound thick,but where do you find the list of names?

Click on "Gardeners Corner" at the top of this page - along the line were it says
"Hello, Kandyfloss" [ log out ] __________________________ Gardeners Corner �» etc...
and it will show all the members who are on line.
Is that what you were asking?


Or ...have just clicked on to the link on my previous posting and it is all changed!!

 

No sorry jjordie.I am replying to your post at the top of this page.I clicked on it and I cannot find the list of GC members that are on the list for chatting.I want to see if mine is there as I know I don't go on any chat forums.
Does this make sense as it is confusing me.It must be my age

so I too clicked on to that link and find that they are all changed now - but they were there - that was why I copied it. :confused:

 

Rosa - that was why I said 'Interesting' for the title of the thread because I have never been on a chat line and wonder how our names were included on that page.
Perhaps some clever IT person knows ?

 

jjordie.Thanks for that.I clicked on it last night as soon as I saw your post,and then again this morning when I saw wildflowers post,but looking at the time of her post,I was in the land of nod then,so they had time to change it.

 

Hate to say it but could it be someone thats been on here as a guest & seen who was online?(just a suggestion,don't really understand technical things)

 

There are numerous sites that survey other sites for whatever reason. Obviously GC is seen as a chatline. I do hope our personal email addresses are secure with the webmaster and host because that is one way you can get junk mail and intrusions. I left an archaeological site because it had very poor security and I was bombarded with junk mail, intrusive worms and other horrors.

BTW I get well over 100 SPAM emails a day! Glad I have SPAMfighter installed but it doesn't stop them coming in.

 

I thought there is no way you can see someones email address,but my husband showed me how to look into an email from someone and you can read their email address.I did it when I had the cancer scam sent to me and I found the woman's email address.I was going to send her one back giving her a mouthful,but he wouldn't let me

 

We always said there was lurkers around didn't we.

Well if they are eye candy It wouldn't be sooo bad,but it would be nice if they showed themselves,though I was shy when I was thinking of joining,then I was too slow processing the information GC wanted and got timed out,but I got there in the end thankfully :D
