Thank you everyone :) We're really pleased!

I am still quite broken....sadly....I've been going to my new 'Pain Specialist' for about a month now. I'm still painful, but it's more painful not to have a lovely garden to be in (and work in!)

Call me a nutter, but i'm willing to take the pain to have somewhere lovely to be :dh:

By the way, we've nearly finished today! Just need to get the pics uploaded! :thmb:

    Hi Sar.

What is the colour of the wood stain you're using called? I'm liking it so much I'm tempted to use it myself.

    Ant.

    Hi Ant,

Glad you like it :) It's called Soft Sage from a company called Protek http://www.protekproducts.co.uk I ordered it through the Shed Store website.

It's an environmentally friendly paint too.

I hope you do get some, I'd love to see your fences in it too :thumb:

I understand that. I do the same suffer the pain to make my garden look better (and sometimes the housework). :thumb:

Can't wait for the pics. I like the paint colour too. I was gonna have a nice paint colour in my garden but my hubby didn't like it :( so I chose a nice brown now he says he don't like the brown :dh: but I do and I think my plants stand out against it :)

I just thought I saw some really good roofing stuff in a gardening mag and it might be good for your garage roof. Not sure how much it is tho. I paid about £450 for metal roofing thats similar to what I saw for my huge workshop as it was leaking but its brilliant and will last a very long time. Its much better than felt.

Oooh, I've just seen this! Thanks you so much, I'll definitely look into that so I can get my garage sorted! :thumb: Just need to find someone to remove and take away the asbestos for a reasonable price

While I was working in the garden yesterday, I realised just how long it has been since I visited GC - with being broken and all, I didn't get as much chance to garden as I'd have liked.

The decking is pretty much done and the fences painted
    [IMG]

We're prepping the side garden in anticipation of my raised allotment plot to arrive shortly
    Clearing out the mess
    [IMG]

All Tidy! This is where the plot will go (left hand corner towards the fence)

....and finally, we put up our cantilever parasol that we got for the bargain price of £49.99 at Aldi :gnthb:

I have since started to clear the top soil from the back to be used around the side garden and I won the war against the metal washing line pole that was involved in breaking my finger last year! :lollol:

I'll post more pictures as they come :)

Last weekend, I had a couple of extra days as my work required me at the beginning of the week, so I made some excellent progress with moving the top soil from the old raised beds
    [IMG]

    All moved and flat
    [IMG]

This is what became of the side garden!

    more to come....

My raised allotment plots arrived this morning, so I set about using the top soil to level the side garden and build the beds
    [IMG]

The plots all filled ready for the veg :) I would have done more but the heavens opened and despite my best efforts to convince myself it was a shower, I had to admit defeat :hehe:

I'm so pleased that I haven't had to waste any of the soil from the back! The next stage is to finish leveling the side garden, plant up the veg, build the seating area using the remaining concrete sleepers and buy and lay the recycled rubber flooring - I can't wait to get back out there! :yho:
