    .

Today was the first day that I did not have the benefit of the the sun shining on my greenhouse and warming it up etc, . because!

    (1) It was low in the sky!
    (2) The greenhouse is shaded by three quite large houses so the sun is unable to peep over the top!

This happen every year, so it will be about two weeks or so before the sun has climbed high enough to shine on it again.

The GH runs east to west so one side faces due south and benefits from even a little sunshine in the winter and lots of heat at other times!

In the summertime I have to shade the south roof to stop some plants getting burnt!

    That's my complaint for now!:thumb:

    Lots John!

Some are cuttings some are plants!

Pelegoniums, cacti, fuchsias, heucheras, coloured leaf geraniums, a couple of hibiscus (from Canary is), and lots of aeonium zwartkop and a few amaryllis (non in flower yet!)

    Plus other odds and ends!

And have just set up ten chry stools for cuttings later!

Don't know where I will have room in the spring for early sown seeds!:mswhl:

That is a lot! Now I see why you will miss the sunshine. There's some really cold weather forecast for later this week, may even be colder than last week :thumb:

Always a tense time keeping plants ticking over Dec/Mid Feb in a greenhouse .. but keep thinking of the spring ..You seem to have a good mix in there ..

I like to keep my greenhouse frost free with an electical heater. I doesn't have to cost much as I have a small consumption meter (£15 ish) to check on the cost.

    .

    Hi ALL,

    Merry Christmas!

Sun shining from a clear sky, after, so they have said on the radio, the coldest night of the year!

A White Christmas for once, with glorious sunshine, what more could anyone ask for?

Well still none of the glorious sunshine shining on my greenhouse, yet!

    Cheers!:flag:

    .

Spring is definately on the way, I had a few minutes of our old friend shining on the greenhouse today!

    All's right with the world!

And how the temperature shot up in it.
