    Hey all

You may or may not know about my adventure to get rid of all the ivy from the back wall.
But the back consists of a large full size wall, and then a half sized mini wall just infront (so there is a small cm-inch size gap between the two).

The ivy is trying to come back in two places between the walls! Theres small stalks and one or two green leaves. Is there something i can put on this to kill it off properly?

I was told a while back of something to kill the root, but you couldn't then plant in that area for a year. Obviously i dont want that as i have plants around that area and in the social infront of the walls, but i dont want this ivy trying to come back inbetween the walls!

Product advice? I do have some general weedkiller spray stuff for the front garden area and for bits coming up around concrete etc.etc. Would that be any good?

I'd suggest something like 'Roundup'- put it in an old spray bottle (any kitchen/bathroom cleaner bottle will do) so that you can 'aim' it into the crack. If you've got plants beneath that you want to keep, cover them gently with something like a bin-bag and of course, spray on a calm day.

I have to say Roundup isn't something I've ever had to resort to, but I understand you might have to do several lots of spraying. Looking at it's 'blurb' on the net, and depending on which one you buy, it seems that most of them become inactive once they come into contact with soil.

Stick 'Roundup' into google and go to their FAQs, lots of suggestions on which to use and how each works.
