Yesterday morning I was up with the little one just before it came light, I made a cup of tea and stood at the back door as it started to come light.

There was dew on the ground and a light mist rolling over the neighbouring field, a 'musty' smell filled the air and the birds began singing, birds that I hadn't really heard since the beginning of the year, a wren was busy making its self heard and a robin was singing away perched high in the hedge, a few minutes later a flock of long tailed tits made their way through the garden like a small swarm of bumble bees. This chorus was joined by a pair of dunnocks making themselves heard too, obviously not wanting to feel left out.

Not a breath of wind, everything was just so still and calm.......Autumn is nearly here and as you might have guessed I LOVE IT :yay: :inautumnleaves:

Autumn, the time of year when slugs and spiders are big enough to scare togs.

I remember sitting out in the garden, with a pint of beer, in the Autumn last year, the cool breeze, the sun just going down making the sky red, the leaves red and gold, the scents and smells of the garden drifting by in the air, then a bird flew overhead and there was a plop in my beer.........................ruined my day:dunno:.:D:heehee::heehee::heehee:

        Apologies to Bilbo:D

          Sounds just about perfect Bilbo.
Is there anything more beautiful than a peaceful, misty dawn in September, with dew on the grass and the first colours of Autumn illuminated by a wonderful sunrise?
          Bliss indeed.

Armandii, I've sampled a few beers in my time which would probably have been improved by that! :heehee:

I forgot Joolz, you're too young to be a Wogan listener:D

The Togs were Terry's Old Geezers, the fan base of the old Breakfast show on radio 2.

I must admit, Trunky, that I've tasted a few beers tasting like a product from a Water Treatment Plant which killed my tastes buds for a day or two. The story is true, by the way, and my beer went chalky white, with something floating on the top.:D:cry3::what:
