Beechgrove can be found on Sky TV on channel 971 (it is on ours)

If it's not 971 on yours the channel name to search for is "BBC1 Scotland"

The Beechgrove Garden - Produced by Tern Television

    Steve...:)

[Edit] I forgot to mention, if you dont not have sky (or live in Scotland) you can still watch the programme's on BBC Iplayer.

And dont forget they produce factsheets to accompany the programme too, this is a mini write up of each programme and it lists for example what plants where used along with the variety, and where they sourced them from. Link in the firt post above.

It sounds interesting, whatever it is :heehee:

Unfortunately we don't have Sky,can't get Scotland and don't have enough mg usage on our internet package to watch TV programmes . I've just upgraded us from 10mg a month to 40mg (and managed to get it £4 a month cheaper than before ). Mrs Shiney is using most of this 40mg for her ongoing studies :dbgrtmb: so I'll just have to see what you all say about it.

Thanks Jack, I had a quick look at the link and it was quite interesting.

We never watch gardening programmes for two reasons. The first is that we rarely have any time to do so and the second is that they only upset us :). The jobs in our garden don't get done to any proper gardening schedule as it's always a "which of the things that should have been done ages ago shall we do now?" situation tempered by a "what do I really fell like doing today?". :heehee:

I agree with that philosophy Shiney - with one additional rider:- "Is the 3yr old vandal in the area?"
Planting seeds keep him occupied for about 3 minutes.
Last week we were out for a walk and a friend gave him some Carrot seeds. As soon as we got back he wanted to plant them. 30 minutes later he wanted to go and check to see if there were any carrots yet.:thud:. Each day he comes he has a look. As soon as anything green appears, I bet he wants to see how big the carrots are!
He loves watering - and I mean WATERING. The hosepipe (sorry Zig) keeps him busy for ages, but keep him away from seedlings.
All I can say is - its a good job we keep some spare clothes here - for me as well!:sofa:

It's OK, gcc, you can use a hosepipe in a childrens' entertainment area! :lunapic 130165696578242 5:

That system does not affect you then , your garden is great, so you must be the one doing it right
