    Hi All,

    I have grown some foxgloves from seed this year. I was wondering a) should I plant them out this year or grow them on until next year? b) as they were grown this year if I grow them on will they flower next year ?

    I've done the same as you, Rusty, grown Foxgloves from seed. As they are now large enough I planted mine all over the garden so that they can get established and flower next year.:hapydancsmil:

    I am sure they will flower next year and if they are strong, well rooted plants, then I would plant them now whilst its cool and damp. Foxgloves like their feet cool and damp and are well able to thrive in "summers " like this one ,

      I grew some from seed last year; I grew them on in larger pots for a little while before planting out last autumn and they are now coming up to their 'best';

      This is one plant;

        I've had 20 'Apricot Beauty' from the 25 seeds I sowed. I think that the family will get some presents later in the year.

            I've actually positioned a few Foxgloves next to my Delphiniums. I'm hoping they will act like stakes. I've removed a couple of my usual stakes to check the support they give.
            I already have a couple of 5' spikes which are quite strong - hopefully they will withstand the winds.

              Look out for the self seeded plants that develop in the Spring. Lift them and put where you want them to grow. The success rate is excellent this way, and you may well get colours you don't expect. Other neighbours seeds will blow in on the wind - if you're lucky.
