Well I think I got it pretty well figured out but if any ones got any input please do. Bought this place 2 years ago and have been working on making a garden. So far last summer I made a barrier n dug out part of my hill and made it flat with one tier. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362422234.522616.jpg got every thing planted kinda late last year but the gofers killed off a lot of plants so I'm doin raised planter boxes this year. Hears some ideas I have for layouts ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362422556.141217.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362422653.056547.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362422710.568351.jpg ImageUploadedByTapatalk1362422794.782149.jpg

Welcome to Gardeners Corner JDweeler. :) At the moment I'd be inclined to go for the layout in picture 1, but really it's down to what you intend to plant. Flowers, shrubs, fruit, veg, any of these will make a difference to the size of the raised beds and the layout.

    What are gofers please?

I'm not really a veg gardener but do grow tomatoes, cucumbers and this year red peppers in my greenhouse. I still think the first plan is the best idea as there are more individual beds there to rotate crops if and when necessary. Some crops shouldn't be planted in the same area two years running I believe, but you probably know more about that than me. :)

I actually went with the forth one.
Easier to get to the box in the back and will work better with my stepping stones
