After delivering presents and dropping off some baking for my parents and the Ham i'd cooked for them i was making my way home....i got to the top of the street and noticed old Mr Whatsisits hanging on to a telegraph pole for grim death....i thought now come on it's not that windy:th scifD36:.....Mr Whatsists is a local chap who is always seen in the village helping everyone...he's very frail now but there's nothing much stops him.....to cut a long story short...he's been delivering his prezzies and it being Christmas Eve he did par take in a Sherry at every drop off point:whistle:....i managed to loosen his grip on the telegraph pole and wedge him into my car...he kept reminding me it was Christmas and continuously thanked me for the lift home which was only just around the corner....I helped him to his door and was greeted by his lovely Wife who looked mortified....they invited me in but i had to decline as i was on the hunt for Parsnips....(that's another story):rolleyespink:.....We said our Merry Christmasses and as i was walking up the path i looked round to see her slap him on the back and chastise him:heehee:...bet they're not at midnight mass this year:biggrin:....
Had to share ,they are such gentile folk the rest of the year....and it actually made my day....
