Is this a type of Buddelei?

    This lovely shrub was growing in the village in Bedford where my cousins live. None of us were sure if it was a type of Buddelei or not, so we'd love to have an ID, please.

    Hi Kedi,I might be wrong but it looks a bit like a Hebe to me but without checking I am not sure which one.:)

    Thanks a lot Kandy and Clematis for the quick ID.

    I've never seen such a beautiful one before and tall, too, as the wall was about 6' high.

    Its a hebe, similar to one on a thread started by Roders a a day or so ago.

    It is a beautiful Hebes and i have seen them bloom right over Christmas in the past. One of my favourite plants back home, we had several.The Bees and Butterflies adore them too.:)

    There's a particularly pretty cultivar which I have seen with flushed pink flowers at the tip and then gradually turning white to the bottom I presume changing with age

    Aesculus, I think the one you are refering to is Great orme.
